In 2022, we had an idea—to create a workshop centred around friendship. We recognised the need for a welcoming space where adults could meet new people without fear or pressure, knowing that everyone was there for the same reason. And so, our wonderful Meet & Make workshops were born!
These events sell out every month, and they have become something truly special. The friendships that have formed through them are heartwarming, and we love seeing the impact they’ve made.
This guide is here to help you host your own Meet & Makes. It’s a unique and meaningful event to run, and we’re sharing the exact formula that has made ours such a success. We’ve refined and perfected this plan over time, and it continues to bring people together month after month.

This project is all about under the sea art! Students will learn how to create awesome abstract ocean masterpieces, complete with a 3D sculpture of their favourite ocean creature.
Length of Project: 6 - 7 hours
Suggested Age: 8 - 14 year olds
Materials Needed: A2 Cardboard Sheet or Mountboard, Acrylic Paint, Lots of different mark making tools (like sponges, bubble wrap, brushes, corks), Paint Pens, Cardboard, Glue Guns, Newspaper, Masking Tape and PVA Glue.
